Allergy Asthma & Immunotherapy Update on 16th October 2015
Organized by Era's Lucknow Medical College And Hospital The Allergy Asthma & Immunotherapy Update was held at Era’s Lucknow Medical College on 16th Oct 2015. On this occasion Allergy Clinic was inaugurated by Dr VN Tripathi, Director General Medical Education, Uttar Pradesh in presence of Dr. Alok Dhawan, Director, Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow & Dr. A.B. Singh, Secretary, Indian College of Allergy, Asthma & Applied Immunology. Professor Farzana Mehdi, Director Academics, Era’s Lucknow medical college, told that Allergy Clinic will run two days in a week under able guidance of Professor Rajendra Prasad. Professor Savitri Thakur, Principal, Dean & CMS also graced the occasion. Inaugurating the update, Dr. VN Tripathi told that it is great news for the state of Uttar Pradesh that an Allergy Clinic will start functioning in Era’s Lucknow Medical College, where facilities for diagnosis and treatment of various allergic diseases will be provided.

Ninth International undergraduate medical students research conference (MEDICON 2015) was held in Nagpur in NKP SALVE INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES AND RESEACH CENTRE from 29th of July to 1st of August. Students from all over India participated in research paper presentation, teacher student panel discussion, debate and photo essay competition. Era’s Lucknow medical college was represented by eight students and this college won 5 trophies in the fields of— 1) Best presentation 2) Teacher student panel discussion 3) Debate and photo essay competition 4) Research presentation All eight students received certificate of participation and performance of Era’s medical college was best amongs all the colleges who participated. The students who won the trophies are-- 1) Shivam mehra (2 trophies) (teacher student panel discussion 1st prize ) 2) Vedansh chandra (1 trophy)(1st prize research paper presentation) 3) Shipra shukla (2 trophies)(1st in photo essay competition, 2nd in debate) The other students who participated were – 1) Anjali giri 2) Chandni jain 3) Parth garg 4) Aliya gul 5) Amber rana Incidentally 6 of these eight students have also bagged the ICMR undergraduate short term studentships in 2014-15 session and got their scholarship for the same. These presentation for Nagpur have been accepted for publication in an indexed medical journal, for following students: — 1) Vedansh Chandra 2) Anjali giri 3) Aliya gul 4) Chandni jain 5) Amber rana 6) Parth garg Following were the mentor & guide of the above students : 1) Prof. A.N.
