Era's Lucknow Medical College and Hospital was established in the year 2001 under the aegis of Era Educational Trust with a vision to establish a centre of excellence in the field of Medical Education, Health Care and Research. After getting recognition in the year 2006 for MBBS degree course from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Government of India and Medical Council of India the college is now running postgraduate courses in 17 subjects. The college has been listed with the WHO/AVICENNA and IMED/FAIMER directories.

Students after successfully completing MBBS degree course from Era's Lucknow Medical College have been selected in postgraduate courses of various Government Medical Colleges through the All India Postgraduate Competition and UPPGME. Some of the students have also brought laurels to college by clearing USMLE.

The realization of this dream was achieved due to clear vision of trustees who had a burning desire to tread on the challenging path of truth and excellence. The fire was kept aflame by the untiring efforts of the highly experienced and 'stalwarts-of-their-field' faculty. We are proud of all our success but also feel humbled by our achievements. We must push the horizons of knowledge, and for that our sights must not be on what has past, but on what remains to be achieved. Our endeavor has been to emphasize 'student centric' rather than 'teacher centric' training. We view the role of a teacher as a facilitator who helps students 'learn the subject', rather than merely 'teach the subject'.

The aim of the college is not only to produce doctors with a good clinical acumen, but also to inculcate in them ethics and values by which they can treat the patients with a human touch. Therefore, the Trust is supporting multi-specialty, charitable, teaching hospital for teaching and training of UG and PG medical students. The hospital not only provides excellent patient care to the poorest of poor extending from primary to tertiary care, it is also our endeavour to expose students to all recent and modern patient management protocols.

Our commitment to research is firm as any teaching institution can not go a long way without having a dedicated team of researchers. We have a fully functional Research Cell which not only encourages the faculty but PG's and UG's are also involved in various, extra mural and intramural research projects.
